Turning $100 Into $100,000 In A Year Or Less Doing Something That
Practically Anyone Can Do!
This is the theme of a book that I’ve just started writing on
Thursday, January 19th, 2023… as I began to do just what the
title says!
As I do it, I’ll document everything that I do, sending out
regular email updates. This post is to sell access to those email
updates so that you can follow along (and copy me) if you choose
to.
After I pass the $100,000 mark, which I expect to do in less than
6 months, I’ll roll my notes into an ebook, an audiobook, and a
print book. I’ll offer access to those products after the book is
completed!
I’m doing this for several reasons:
1. It gives me another digital asset that I can sell long-term…
Do the work once, and get paid forever!
2. It will hopefully inspire a lot of others who feel hopeless
and helpless as the economy… and indeed the WORLD seems to be
spinning out of control.
3. I will give MOST of the profits from the physical book itself
to charity.
4. It will be FUN!
The PLAN!
I’m going to do this by:
1. Starting with $100 or less in supplies, grow some plants
(papayas, loquats, and moringa trees), which I will then sell on
eBay, Facebook Marketplace, locally, and in my barter club
(ITEX).
I have a green thumb, grew all of these plants last year, and
sold them in all of the marketplaces mentioned. Now, I’m starting
seeds in starter containers, and the plants will be ready to sell
by early-March.
2) Take the money from the plant sales and multiply that by
buying “goods” at yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, and
from liquidators. I’ll then sell those products on eBay, Facebook
Marketplace, locally, and ITEX.
This is something I’ve already been doing…for over a year.
In the case of ITEX, my barter club, I’ll get paid in “Barter
Dollars” for my plants. I then need to “cash convert”… buying
things from some of the 25,000+ other members of my barter club
for my barter dollars and then turning around and selling those
things in “the real world” for cash.
Whenever I surpass $100k, I’ll summarize the whole thing in an
eBook, an audiobook and a physical book.
When the project is over with, I’ll have another digital asset
that I can sell long-term.

NOTES: I am starting out with 6 seed starter trays that I
purchased from Walmart last year. If I had to buy these today,
they would cost approximately $3 each. I am NOT including the
cost of those trays in my $100 startup capital.
The $100 will only be used to purchase seed, and bags of potting
soil.
My model for growing plants is to grow them in small pots, but
sell most of them to people outside my local area, where I ship
them “bare root” usually via USPS Priority Mail. I charge my
customer the shipping cost which can vary by location.
I will ONLY be selling my plants in the U.S. because shipping
internationally requires government inspections and
certifications. While I CAN arrange that with just a phone call,
I will assume that most of my readers won’t want to bother with
that red tape.
I live in northwestern Florida, where we did have temperatures
drop to 19F in December, but the temperatures are now forecast
not to drop much lower than the mid-40’s for the foreseeable
future. I’m taking the RISK of planting NOW, and acknowledge that
in many places you would need to either start your plants
later or use a cold-frame or greenhouse.
If I do get a hard freeze, perhaps in early February, I can
easily move my seedlings inside or into a greenhouse or cold
frame.
