A Quick Lesson In Buying And Selling Domain Names For You – Manatee Bay Resort
I just purchased the domain name: ManateeBayResort.com …a few
minutes ago.
Tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of tourist travel
to my area each year for a chance to see and swim with the
manatees (sea cows) beautiful mammals that often swim where
boaters also frequent and sometimes injure them with their
propellers.
I saw the domain listed on a list I get most mornings from Gene
Pimentel. He charges $5 per month for a subscription, and the
daily lists usually have about 300 freshly expired domain names.
I’ll reach out to 5 or 6 hotels and resorts that could use this
domain name… some of them advertise using those exact key
words.
I’ll see if they want to buy the domain name, and I’ll be hoping
for $1000.
If I get lesser offers I may or may not accept them. The domain
name costed me $7.99 using my registrar NameSilo… so even if I
accepted $100 I will have made back TWELVE times my money.
What other investment offers you that return? Of course $1000 or
125 times my money would be a little better 🙂
If I don’t get bites from my emails, text message or perhaps
messages sent via FB or LinkedIn, then I could step it up just a
touch.
I have an account at Send Out Cards where I can send an UNLIMITED
number of GREETING CARDS, postage included for only $97 per
month.
I could grab photos from a few of the target businesses, put
those photos on and inside a greeting card, and mail them to the
owners of the resorts/hotels, right from my computer.
On the card I would of course add the URL, and then point out to
the owners of the businesses that the domain name is for sales
and ask them to contact me.
I’d send the card from here, which is where anyone can and should
take the system for a test drive: http://TheCardThingy.com
Yes, that’s actually an affiliate link. I’ve been an affiliate
as well as a customer of Send Out Cards since 2004.
Given that I’ve used them for 16 years, I must like their
product, but I also earn commissions every week… deposited
directly to my checking account 🙂
The $97 per month, unlimited card plan is intended for sending
individual “heart felt cards” and not for some mass marketing
campaign. The idea being giving people an easy way just to reach
out in kindness and spread a little love. They do have other
plans where you can blast your card out to as many people as you
want, and the cost for that comes to roughly $1.15 per card,
plus postage.
My account includes the postage to anywhere in the world, but I
need to be mindful of its intended use…
Anyway, I may spend an hour “marketing” this domain name, to
include sending out the 5 cards. That WOULD cut into my time
sitting feeding off the network new drama… and I could turn an
hour into $992 profit… or I could wait for the government to
give me back MY money as an economic stimulus check 🙂
After spending the hour launching the “marketing campaign’ I’ll
wait, and with any luck, in a week or 10 days, I may have, like
magic, turned $7.99 into $1000 🙂
