I recently implemented a few changes to my
affiliate marketing methodology, and it literally
MULTIPLIED my sales by a factor of FIVE.
What were the changes that I made?
Well, you can read all about them and see my
methodology in action here on my blog at
For shares, the blog is at:
However, when you visit the blog, here is what
you will notice:
1) When I do affiliate promotions, I generally
DO NOT send cold traffic, or even newsletter
subscribers directly to an affiliate offer. In
fact, I often don’t even send traffic directly
to my own product offers.
2) On many of my posts, there is an opt-in form
across the bottom of the post. When I drive
cold traffic to my blog to read a post, this is
a gentle nudge for them to join my list and get
other great content. This is a very effective
tactic for building my list!
3) There is an offer in my sidebar offering
free training on “How To Make $100,000 A Year
Giving Away Free Stuff!” That free training is
a very high content, pre-recorded webinar!
4) There is a link in my top menu bar for my
Affiliate Training Center. That is a membership
area, where I actually train people on how to be
an effective affiliate marketer. That training
is currently free, and I use it as an incentive
to get people to purchase some of the affiliate
products that I sell… or to become affiliates
for some of the product launches that I’m helping
I do plan on eventually charging a one time $47
for lifetime access to that training. At that
point, this will become a nice revenue stream
since I constantly push traffic to my blog from
all over cyberspace. I can see soon being able
to easily add 3000 new members to this training
per year, which in itself is a nice hands-free
revenue stream. Even just 2000 new member
per year is nearly $100k.
At the same time, inside the membership area,
I do sprinkle upsell offers. I deliver tremendous
content, creating some very happy members, and
those very happy members purchase additional
products and services that I recommend 🙂
5) There is a link to my high ticket consulting
services. I do charge a lot for my mentoring,
coaching, consulting, and JV Brokering services.
All of those services are described on that page,
and that page is also the doorway to a fairly
complex funnel 🙂
6) Most posts have buttons to ALL of the most
popular social sharing sites. Just above those
social share button, the call to action reads
“Spread the love”… and my website visitors do 🙂
7) There is a link to my YouTube channel. YouTube
is actually a VERY large search engine. My blog
sends traffic to YouTube, and YouTube sends a
ton of traffic to my blog. They cross-pollinate
each other, and both generate sales for me!
8) One of categories listed in my sidebar is
Income Opportunity. Clicking on that link shows
all of the post I’ve made for various affiliate
programs that I recommend. These include my
own products and those of clients for whom I’m
a JV Broker or second-tier affiliate.
When someone signs up to promote those affiliate
offer for which I am a JV Broker or second-tier
affiliate, I earn as much as $200+ on each sale
that they make.
One of the offers showcased there is also for an
MLM program that I’ve been in for 14 years, and am
working hard to build up to a six-figure MONTHLY,
largely-residual income from by the end of 2019.
At least that’s my goal.
As you can see, there is a LOT more to my rather
simple blog than meets the eye. I’ve only pointed
out to you a few of the income streams, list-building
and traffic generation methods built in.
Take a look at my blog now, have a look around
and check out some of the links. If you really
study it, you’ll get a PhD level of training in
marketing, and see why my sales increased by a
factor of FIVE when I changed my model from
driving traffic to my blog first rather than
sending prospects directly to an affiliate offer.
You’ve probably read over and over again that you
should first drive cold traffic to a squeeze page
or bridge page before sending them on to an
affiliate offer. As you can see, I LISTEN 🙂
One other reason that I drive traffic to my blog
first is that it allows me to PRE-SELL prospects
before sending them to an offer. When they arrive
on the sales page, they often just scroll down and
hit the buy button. So even if the sales page for
the affiliate offer TOTALLY SUCKS, it doesn’t
The blog post allows me more room to fully explain
an affiliate offer, sometimes add a video that
provides a demo or walk-thru, and gives me lots
of room to explain my always OUTSTANDING bonus
packages. The blog post, especially when I use a
video allows me to do a lot more pre-selling
than I could ever do in an email.
That’s the end of today’s lesson. Make sure that
you subscribe to my ezine or stay subscribed, and
that you frequent my blog for more lessons. I’ll
show you why making money online doesn’t have to
be a struggle. I’ll share with you a ton of things
that I learned in the school of hard knocks.
Now, before you leave, please be kind enough to
use the social share buttons and “Spread the love.”
It’s good karma 😉
Thanks in advance!
By the way, you’ll notice that a lot of my
marketing pushes people to visit my calendar and
set up one-on-one Zoom meetings with me. I do
that for many reasons to include:
1) It allows my audience members to actually get
to connect with me. People buy from people that
they know, like and trust. It’s pretty hard to
build that know, like, trust factor when you are
hiding from your potential customers.
2) On most Zoom meetings, both the person that
I’m meeting with and myself have our webcams on.
So, we can look each other in the eye and read each
others body language too. We can listen to the
voice inflections, etc. This is very powerful.
3) On many Zoom meetings I actually do a live
product demo, or walk-thru. This allows the
person to actually see the product in action,
see that it really is easy to use, and just
get a feel for the product that is difficult to
pass along in a recorded demo (which could
be doctored up anyway) or on a web page.
Since we can also screen-share, I can either
let the person see me demo the product, or I can
have them actually USE the product as I perhaps
talk them through it.
4) A live one-on-one, face-to-face meeting allows
everyone taking part in the meeting to ask any
lingering questions that they have to completely
clear things up. In the cases where I am offering
a product for sale, the prospect can see that I
really am very low-pressure. I don’t come across as
desperate, as so many people do… because I’m NOT.
You’ll make a lot more sales if you don’t come across
as chasing customers. Actually, being the pursued
rather than the pursuer has numerous psychological
In the cases where someone wants to hire me as a JV
Broker or coach, it allows us both to see if we really
are a match for each other.
OH, OH, OH… when you send traffic to your blog
instead of directly to an affiliate offer, if they
are not interested in the offer, they are VERY
likely to look around, and will probably see something
else that interests them.
Once, you pull them away from places like social
media platforms, then you can do some really amazing
thing. You have their full attention, and avoid all
of the distractions of things like the Facebook’s
