While out on my daily jogs/walks, I frequently pass a
softball/soccer field… only 10 minutes from my house.
Sometimes I spot softballs or baseball in the nearby bushes…
usually balls knocked over the fence by power-hitters during
tournaments or practice.
I sometimes pick up a ball or two and take them home, but had no
plans on what to do with them until this weekend.
On Friday, I got the bright idea to list the softballs on eBay,
so I visited eBay, logged into my account and after a few minutes
of researching what others were selling used softballs for, I
listed mine at the same average price.
I was blown away when in less than an hour someone had
purchased… paid for the balls and postage.
Today, Saturday, I decided to list the baseball, and those sold
even faster. In about 30 minutes, I received notification over
my eBay app (installed on my iPhone) that someone had purchased
the baseballs.
However, it took them several hours to actually PAY for the balls
plus shipping charges.
That has to be the easiest money I’ve ever made!
A lot of eBay resellers have YouTube Channels where they often
show how they source items to sell, how they list them, how much
the items sold for… and how quickly.
I have a YouTube Channel too, and plan on throwing together a
quick, short video on my used ball sales… because if I properly
SEO optimize the video, it will gain me new subscribers, AND help
me in the YouTube algo, and as a result increase my hidden
revenue stream… from taking advantage of YouTube’s monetization
program 🙂
